Something new

As many of you know I have worked or gone to school most of my life. Now that we have moved to Washington I haven't been working. It's possible if money isn't too bad that we can continue with me not working. I have however been working on being a housewife. It's my goal in the day to get everything done that needs to be done so that when Paul is done working that we can spend the rest of the time together.

So to do this I have made up a list of all the different things that need to be done around the apartment. I will also need to come up with how often in the week I would like these things done. There are also things that I just need to do daily for my own benefit like shower and exercise. Perhaps it's silly to put these things on the schedule but i feel like I need to. It helps me stay focused to have a list in front of me.

Last night we were playing WoW and all I could think about was how bored I was and how much of a waste of time this was. I really wish that we had kids, that I could be taking care of them and spending my time focused on their upbringing. With time we will have kids. People say that we are young that we have plenty of time, but do they realize how fast time is going. I am 27 and feel like the longer I wait the less chances we have to actually have a kid. I hope that I am like the rest of the females in the family and have no issues with getting pregnant. We will see I guess.

Anyways, time to get the rest of my day going, been up now for 2 hours and have only really suceeded with getting breakfast made.

Later!

I am a list maker, too! I carry a notebook around in my purse with budgets, groceries, to do..., plans, etc. It really does help, and sometimes when I am making a list for what I need to do the next day, I do put stuff like showering and going to the gym. It just seems right to do it. haha Just remember not to feel like you have to stick rigidly to your list, or you will cause more stress. Lists are supposed to prevent stress not cause more. Good luck! A change of pace is really great sometimes! I am even taking a break from school right now, and I am enjoying every minute of it.

Cassie, I find that I need EVERYthing on the to-do list when I'm trying to establish new routines -- such as after a move, or after a new baby. Once you've figured out how to arrange your time, and have practiced your new routine for several months, you may be able to remember to exercise and shower even if it's not on your to-do list. ;-)

I am thinking a need to order the list in the way I would like to do the things... but yes I am finding that if I don't have a list of stuff to do that I sit around and just do dishes and laundry all day, and surf the internet. I am thinking the list will help me stay focused. But it includes things like Shower, exercise, brush teeth, make breakfast, get the mail, and more. You would think one would remember to do those things... but apparently I have trouble with it. If brushing teeth isn't on the list I am likely to not do it... sad I know. But yes Susan like you said, once we get into a routine those things will come naturally and can probably be taken off the list. I feel like I am missing things on my list so I might do some searching online to see what others put on their to do lists. That might help.

Shouldn't you have boxes to unpack or something? Bored... pfft. ;-)

I finished unpacking all of the boxes, just have clothes to put away in the bedroom. That I am doing today I think.

So what is your list? Show me. And about the kids... yes, I even heard it said on "Doctors" yesterday... biological clocks are always ticking. Your fertility is always getting lower. But Cassie, God knows the desires of your heart. If it's in His will, it will happen. I prayed like CRAZY for Lukas, but of course Danny wasn't insisting on birth control either. I love you and I do want you to have kids soon!

I will send you my list in email.
Never heard of "Doctors"... but yes that is my understanding of it, the longer you go without kids the more you want kids but the less likely you are to have them. I am hoping that I am still in my prime child bearing years until at least 35... this way we can have our kids in the next 8 years. We will see what happens... it is hard when there's the birth control factor keeping you from the kids. But yes, there's nothing God can't do so if a baby is to happen with us on birth control then it will happen. So who knows... it's true that God knows the desires of our hearts but like children that we are, what we desire may not be what we need at the time. So I will work on being happy with what we have (health, good food, a good job, and good family/friends). :)
